The Clinical Breast Care Project (CBCP) is a Translational Research Care Environment that helps lead the way in the fight against breast disorders and cancer. We use a multidisciplinary approach as the standard of care for treating breast diseases and breast cancer. CBCP is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
CBCP brings together, breast surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, psychologists, nurse navigators/case managers, physical therapists, and plastic surgeons under one roof including treatment rooms and imaging equipment. This allows us to educate, facilitate and coordinate a comprehensive breast treatment plan for the patient that maximizes treatment options and streamlines patient care in a more convienient and patient-focused environment.
Our dedication to patient care is united to our commitment to research. The goal of our research is to generate new knowledge that will benefit breast cancer patient treatment. Read more about the 5 pillars of our research.
The Clinical Breast Care Project is a collaborative effort between Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the Windber Research Institute with funding management by the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine.
